Coventry Muslim School was established in 1991 as a Muslim school for pupils aged 4-16 (primary & secondary), after recognising a need for providing Muslim children with secular education while preserving Islamic Morals and Values. The attending children are from the local vicinity surrounding the Coventry area including Nuneaton. The school building is situated in the heart of the Foleshill area. We have a number of facilities nearby e.g. a library, leisure centre, park, shops, bus routes and also the new bypass making it easily accessible for those children living out of Coventry. The purpose of our school is to set the foundation for the building of an Islamic personality; to provide students with the highest standards of education which will enable them to develop their self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence, to distinguish right from wrong and to respect the law, to encourage pupils to accept responsibility for their behaviour, show initiative and understanding how they can contribute to community life, to provide them with a broad general knowledge of public institutions and services and assist pupils to acquire and appreciation of and respect for their own and other cultures in a way that promotes tolerance and harmony between different cultural traditions which will help them to become responsible and productive citizens who will confidently meet the challenges of the future.
